Month of November
This month will have several main objectives: First of all, Bible needs to be done every day, without fail. Then, NaNoWriMo needs to be done. Your goal is three thousand words. I don't think that will be a problem for you. That is only two hundred words a day for three weeks worth of writing, which gives us some leeway for emergencies. Lastly, you need to diligently work on ALEKS as the review is due on the 8th of December. You need to earn as many "pieces of pie" as you can, and make as much progress as possible. In addition to all of that, I'd like you to continue reading one book a week of my choice, and to do one art lesson (preferably a Mini-Marshmallow lesson) with the kids each week. Also, any work you can do to help get Where in the World? Wednesday done will be greatly appreciated. Make sure you take time to explore the links I find on each state, as well as read about some of the delegates from that state out of the For You They Signed book. Everything else is on hold for the month of November.
Week Twelve---NaNoWriMo!
This month will be a bit different, starting this week. We are going to FOCUS on writing, writing, writing. Why? NaNoWriMo!!
Here is what I think is important:
Daily:
Bible---EVERY DAY, Do this FIRST!!
IXL---Do your practice problems.
Writing---Every day write about ONE of your topics. Write for an uninterrupted hour. Do not edit. Then see me so I can help you check your word count. Your goal is 3,000 words by the end of the month.
Weekly:
Where in the World? Wednesday---HELP!! Also, do your Character Study reading and reading from For You They Signed. This is not optional. It is a review item.
Nature Study---Once a week. This week, get that apple one done!
Sketch Tuesday---Get it done by Friday. Really.
Lego Challenge---Do over the weekend. Two cups of Legos.
Hopefully, you will see this as a break from the normal workload (no science, handwriting, critical thinking skills, grammar, typing, extra reading, etc.). If you plan to do some of the drawing during your down times (instead of reading or playing games), this will not be a difficult week for you.
Don't forget: We are having a birthday party for Ladybug on Thursday. Yay!! But you still have to do your writing and Bible for that day (I will let you slide on the math, though).
